Friends of Australian Wildlife Conservancy is a US-based non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of Australia’s unique wildlife and wild places.
Australia is one of the most biologically diverse nations on the planet with a significant proportion of Australia’s mammals, birds and reptiles occurring nowhere else in the world. Sadly Australia has the worst rate of mammal extinction in the world. In the last 200 years more than 10 percent of mammal species have disappeared due to predation by introduced cats and foxes, and from widespread habitat degradation. More than 1,700 species are currently facing extinction.
Friends of Australian Wildlife Conservancy supports Australian organisations working to tackle these challenges and conserve our threatened wildlife through practical land management and world class science. We support Australian Wildlife Conservancy, the biggest not for profit owner and/or manager of land for conservation in Australia. As a leader in the field, its mission is the effective conservation of all Australian native animal species and the habitats in which they live.
Friends of Australian Wildlife Conservancy is registered as a 501(c)(3) charity and all donations are tax deductible in the United States.
