AWC leadership recognized by Environment Ministers
April 27, 2018
The Federal Environment Minister and Environment Ministers from all States met in Melbourne on 27 April as part of their regular engagement on environmental issues of national significance. AWC was honoured to be asked to present to this Ministerial forum on the importance of private (non-profit) conservation and the enormous potential of public-private partnerships, such as our work with NSW in the Pilliga and at Mallee Cliffs. Our engagement with Environment Ministers highlights the increasing recognition of AWC's leadership on conservation issues, especially the recovery of threatened species, the implementation of world class science and the delivery of landscape-scale feral animal control and fire management.
